I am an artist and arts-tangential freelancer based between the south east and the south west of the continent currently known as Australia. The land I live on always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
Currently, I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Western Australia, where I am researching an archive of marine sound, natural history collections, and environmental change. I work from my position as a white English and settler-descendant Scottish person; much of what I make is interested in grappling with living in this place, at this time; and often, I collaborate with my partner Aaron Claringbold.
I am trained in museum studies, and design. You can see some of my freelance design work here β it has been commissioned for a range of artists and a range of organisations across many projects. From 2017β21 I worked as Operations Manager for experimental feminist art organisation APHIDS, overseeing the funding, presentation and touring of several major works, including at; the 2020 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Monster Theatres, Art Gallery of South Australia (SA), Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (Vic), Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (WA), and Printemps de Septembre (Toulouse).
