Rebecca Jane McCauley

Trained in graphic design and curatorship I look to specialise in design
within the arts. Currently I work as a designer for Aphids, as well as
    freelancing for galleries and individuals.

My artistic practice is concerned with examining constructs of
natural/manmade spaces. I am interested in how we form ideas
of nature and wildness in environments that are increasingly shaped
by human hands. I draw from environmental philosophers and from
a female perspective. The above images are part of an ongoing series
exploring these ideas and are taken at minesites, quarries, dams,
    deserts and in urban spaces.

My design work has been commissioned for organisations such as Field
Theory, Papunya Tjupi Art Centre and Speak Percussion, and been
associated with projects held at Mona Foma (Tas), the Museum of Western
Australia (WA), ANTI Festival of Live Art (Finland), Festival of Live Art (Vic)
    and Arts House (Vic).

RMIT, Bachelor of Communication Design (2010 - 2012)

Melbourne University, Masters of Art Curatorship (2013 - 2017)
